I am awake
There is no light
During this unsettling night
What can it shake
Insecurities like ghosts
They fade with burning fire
Leaving no trace, they inspire
Falling knees against posts
Wooden doors hold me in
Glass mirrors resemble fear
Midnight shadows, they stare
Screaming would give win
The hallways hold darkest
Turning objects lear
They are not what they appear
Please let me rest
Creeks and crawls
I hear them all around
Can there be no sound
Even in my head the voice calls
I just want to go to bed
Holding pillows to my ears
Letting fall hopeless tears
I am within my head
